Die Belastung von Notaufnahmen hängt von verschiedenen Faktoren ab, wie z.B. der Anzahl der Patienti:innen , der Schwere ihrer Fälle, der Personalsituation und der Kapazität der Intensivbetten. Die durchschnittliche Aufenthaltsdauer in der Notaufnahme kann als Indikator für die Belastungssituation herangezogen werden.
